Adam Pickos Sets Pending Boys 3 USA National Trick Record: 10,300
On his 16th birthday last October, Adam tricked just over 10,000pts for the first time. This was a mark that not even his dad, legendary trick skier Cory Pickos, could accomplish. Fast forward to May 3, 2008 and the Florida Inboard Open at Shortline Lakes. After spending the winter skiing as much as possible, Adam was able to change his run just a bit and in the second round of the tournament scored 10,300pts. This gave him a little more incentive to go for the big one in Round 3. So, altering his run just enough and throwing in a trick or two that may not be considered 90% every time......he boosted his score to the magic mark of 10,460pts.....eclipsing Jimmy Siemers long standing record. Adam is still only 16 years of age and has all summer to push the record further before reaching the age of 17. With the expanded age limit in B3, he will have an extra year that Jimmy did not have to blow past the 11,000 mark. Heck, he might even do it this summer BEFORE he is seventeen.
FYI....Adam also holds the Boys 1 (4,090pts) and Boys 2 (7,870pts) National Trick records as well.....:)
