AWSA Southern Region Veteran Team fund donations.In 2008 the Veteran US Teams will be competing in the Pan Am Championships in Medellin, Columbia and World Veteran Championships in Toledo, Spain. The Lakeland Water Ski Club is again seeking donations to help defray the expenses of the Southern Region competitors’ trips to represent the United States.

In 2007, with your contributions combined with donations from the Florida Water Ski Federation and from the Southern Region, we were able to give six of the Southern Region competitors $400 for each trip to Mexico and South Africa. This represented eight competitor trips. With many of the travel expenses increasing this year, we want to be able to give them even more financial support.

The Southern Region skiers participating will be:

Brenda Baldwin, Pan Am Championships and World Veteran Championships

Leza Harrison, Pan Am Championships and World Veteran Championships

Steve Raybourne, Pan Am Championships and World Veteran Championships

Marc Shaw, Pan Am Championships and World Veteran Championships

Jody Johnson, Pan Am Championships and Alt. for the World Veteran Championships

Dennis Longo, World Veteran Championships

Stan Switzer, World Veteran Championships

This represents eleven competitor trips in 2008 that we need to fund.
